secondnature Ian Turnock & Susan Laughton [more info]
Secondnature cross the ‘boundaries’ of art and design to create innovative and distinctive abstract sculpture, using digital drawing and making technology to transform the drawn line into a tangible object. Their unconventional approach combines a graphic designers’ eye for bold line, form and pattern with a fine artists’ feel for materials. Secondnature's work is inspired by the wild yet decorative aspects of nature focusing on silhouettes, shadows and movement of leaf, branch, light and flame. They currently use new and reclaimed materials and are interested in working with other (particularly environmentally friendly) materials.
