Nadine Senft ARBS [more info]
| Much of her work is concerned with the abstraction of form from basic structural principles and organic origins. Many themes make reference to the human bodgy and wildlife while others represnet abstract concepts rooted in religion, history and the human psyche. Commissioned work, on whatever scale, is of particular interest as she is stimulated by the need to meet the clients wishes within a budget, while retaining her own artistic integrity. | ||||||||||||||||

| Her work captures and manifests the beauty and strenght as well as the intrinsic spirit and personality of her subject. Her lack of formal artitstic training places no constraints or boundaries on her deeply personal, ambitious and daring approach. Geoffrey Stinton [more info] | ||||||||||||||||
| The man who rediscovered the Aeolian Harp as an art form. The Ancients used to use wooden boxes with harp strings which were vibrated by the wind but it was not until Geoffrey applied his technical skill combined with his artists flair that something so pleasing on the eye and ear has been created from modern composites. Despite being in such demand for what he can make he still somehow finds time to create new and exciting forms. | ||||||||||||||||

Antony Sturgiss [more info]
| After nearly 2 years of creating cacti inspired in steel, my work is now moving on to encompass a wider varieyt of plant forms. Whilst I am still captured by the savage beauty of the world in which I live I am finding myself motivated more and more by the repetition, simplicity and beauty of form rather that the purely savage aspect of my subject matter. Gonine is the emphasis on the spiky nature of the world, replaced by a more considered representation of it , coupled with the previously dismissed possibility that I may simply be following in the footsteps of a numch greater and infinitely more talented maker than 1. the ordered and mathematical nature of the worl I am studing fascinates me and, to a great degree, complements the way that my mid works. Units and templates form a large part of my working prctice - find the repeated unity in a structure and away I go. The work I am creating now falls into 2 groups. Firstly, there is a body of work based around wild flowers and plants indigenous to this country. These include the likes of roses, bluebells, daisies, celandine, speedwell, violas adn crocus and represent perhaps the more figurative aspect of my work. Secondly, there are the more exotic and tropical plants of which the cacti still remain a part. This group encompasses the likes of lilies, orchids and other carnivorous plants such as the Venus Fly trap. This roup represents a more abstract handlings of my subject matter and could be termed the more purely sculptural side to my endeavours. I am aware that these 2 groups or work will have some elements of a cross over within them (for exmaple there are orchids, and many of them, that are indigenous to this country) but that does not matter - I suppose it just helps to show the connectedness of everything. | ||||||||||||||||
